Our story · Est. Summer 2025
We noticed that many students weren't interested in programming or machine learning because they couldn't see how these skills could make a real difference. In Summer 2025, we started Code4Cause to make ML education more engaging through impactful projects that help students explore real-world problems and benefit their communities.
01 / The spark
We noticed that many students weren't interested in programming or machine learning because they couldn't see how these skills connected to the real world. We wanted to change that by making technology education more engaging and showing students how they could use what they learned to address problems in their own communities.
02 / Our first program
We launched GreenSight to help middle schoolers apply data science to a real problem in the Bay Area. Starting with no coding experience, students learned Python, data analysis, and machine learning over four weeks. They then used these skills to investigate where trees should be planted in the Bay Area and developed a research paper based on their findings.
03 / Our mission
Code4Cause makes programming and machine learning education accessible to elementary and middle school students through hands-on projects using real-world data. By connecting technical skills to meaningful challenges, we help students discover the possibilities of technology and see how their work can make a difference in their communities.
The people who started it
We're Aarya, Risha, and Sanvi. We founded Code4Cause together in Summer 2025 to make programming and machine learning education more accessible through impactful, real-world projects.
